Mil Lesson 3 Report
Mil Lesson 3 Report
What can you see on the picture above? Why do you think it is connected
to the topic we’re about to discuss?
First and foremost the example above is a hot topic in our classroom. Let’s
say for example this is a celebrity issue; different perspective with different
headlines spreading fake news and rumours about the both of them. For
example “Jessa at Franco break na ng aba? Jessa nagkulang raw!” “Jessa at
Franco hiwalay na, Franco may iba nga ba?”. Based on the universal
declaration of human rights as well as The Constitution of the Republic of
the Philippines states that we all have freedom of speech. But we are all
accountable to whatever the outcome is. And people should be vigilant and
be an information literate person, and should always weigh the different
sides of the story, not just pointing out their dirty fingers.
Why do you think tons of news about politics, disaster and etc. are in the
news every day?
In section 4, article III of the 1987 Constitution provides that no law shall
be passed abridging the freedom of speech, or the press, or the right of the
people to assemble petition to the government for redress or grievances.”
In the 1987 constitution, Section 7, Article III of the Bill of Rights states that
“The right of the people to concern shall be recognized. Access to official
records, and to documents, and papers pertaining to official records, and to
documents, and papers pertaining to official acts, transaction, or decisions
shall be afforded the citizen subject such limitations may be provided by
law.”
This is why we are provided with different information, it’s our right and
theirs as well. But again as I mentioned earlier my folks we should check its
validity and reliability of our sources. But then again we have social
responsibility in spreading informations cause we could either make or
break panic in netizens.
We should seek truth and speak nothing but the truth.
