Update Menu
Here are the key combinations to enter in the RED menu depending on car model.
A4/A5/Q5 MY 2017-2020

For green menu press and hold “NAV” and “RADIO”.


A3 MY 2012-2015

A3 MY 2015-2018

For green menu press and hold “NAV” and “RADIO”.

User Defined
To enable user defined mode go in green menu, production -> rcc_prod then engeneering_prod and
put check in the box next to manual SWDL. Exit out of green menu by pressing menu button.

Software update
Caution: If your car is equipped with BOSE or B&O sound system and don’t know
how to recode it… it is recommended that you unselect it from list (using User-
Defined Mode) before update.
Enter in the Engineering menu

Select Update

Then SD slot where you inserted the SD card

Select User-defined if you want to remove the AMP from update list.

Start update

Unit will reboot and you will see similar screen

Unit will reboot two more times and you will be presented the summary screen

Select Resume

Cancel version compare


Unit will reboot back to normal mode
