The advantage and disadvantages of living in a block of flats.

For-and-Against essay

Some people prefer living in an apartment while others would much rather have a house. The
truth is that both options have their advantage and disadvantages and it’s a matter of personal
preferences and lifest
One of the most important advantages of living in a block of flat is human safety. Living in
close proximity to other people leaves you less vulnerable than living in a private and secluded
space. Most of the time, you will find at least two apartments per floor, so that even if a burglar
manages to get past security, there will be at least one neighbor to serve as a witness. Additionally,
large apartment buildings usually have relatively complex floor plans, which gives kidnappers a
tough time when it comes to gaining access to a particular apartment without being noticed.
Another major of advantage of living in a block of flat is human safety is strategic location.
The flat was built to be a solution to the problem of limited housing in urban areas. Therefore, flat is
usually built in a strategic location and close to places that are frequently visited by the public, such
as office areas, hospitals, schools, and shopping centers. By living in a flat, you will easily access
these important places. Also, because of its location close to various important places, you will
easily go to these places. In addition to saving time, it also saves your money and energy.
One important point of view against of living in a block of flat is lack of privacy. Flat
consists of several floors, blocks, and units. One flat building can have hundreds of units, which
means that one flat building can be occupied by hundreds of families. Noise is a traditional problem
in blocks of flats- habitation of multi-family house links with larger threat of disturbance of quiet
(repairs, lack of some occupants' imagination, quarrels among neighbour, etc.) This seems
particularly so for panel blocks and is caused by the low sound insulation and high sound
transmission quality of external walls, and the thinness of internal walls inside flats and to the
stairwell.

However, there is a small living space and outdoor space. When you live in an
apartment, size is often a compromise, since they tend to be smaller than houses. The cheaper price
comes with smaller rooms, and you will just have to learn to live with less furniture and appliances
so that your space is not too cramped. Similarly, living in an apartment means that you have to settle
for floor space and a balcony in place of private outdoor space.

In conclusion, so while apartment living is perfectly suited to some, there are some notable
disadvantages you might want to take into consideration before you choose an apartment over a
house. There are goods and bads, each person has the right to choose what is pleasant to him.
