HUNTERS: TEAM COMPOSITIONS & BUILDS
The below is provided by Excision from Riddim guild. You can find a reference to
Excision’s guide here.
Early Game
Berserkers can carry you from Easy to Nightmare
Once you reach Torment modes and get level 100 hunters with 5 reincarnations,
Paladins, Sorcerers, and Rangers will become vital to your growth.

Late Game
This mode is particularly, Torment 3, x50 Boosted into Torment 3, x1 Super Boosted
and above.

Tanks
Build: Hybrid PVE / PVP Tank

Characteristic: Man of Steel

Weapon Skill: Archangel / Barrier / Cast Evasion (SB21+)

Tank Classes: Barbarian / Dark Lord / Guardian

Recommended: 1-2 Guardians / 1-2 Dark Lords / 1 Barbarian. Would not use more than
4 tanks.

Goal Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

DEF 7 – 8 lines 130 – 160%
HP 4 – 6 lines 80 – 120%
Evasion 3 lines 40% (Cap)
Dmg Reduction 4 – 6 lines 60 – 90%
ASPD (purple) 3 lines 0.45 ASPD

Tank Notes:

Tank weapons should have cast Archangel or Barrier only until SB21
The builds above make it much much easier to tank early-mid SB until you gain
access to the better items
From there you can swap back to a PVP tank build and they will survive easily
enough

Barbarian
Build: PVE Dungeon / Field Tank

Characteristic: Man of Steel

Weapon Skill: Archangel / Barrier

Goal Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

DEF 7 – 8 lines 130 – 160%
HP 4- 6 lines 80 – 120%
Evasion 3 lines 40% (Cap)
Dmg Reduction 1 – 3 lines 15 – 45%
Crit Hit 2 lines 20 – 24%
Life Steal 1 line 14 – 17%
Boss Damage 1 – 2 lines 30 – 60%
Crit Damage 1 – 2 lines 30 – 60%
This was built specifically for dungeon boss fighting, but they still make for
decent field tanks.

Strategy:

Pair with a Dark Lord specifically for its debuffs – DPS should be ranged
Get Barb and DL to boss alive, and Barb / DL fight the boss by themselves
DPS is just there to speed up fighting trash mobs leading up to the boss – They
will die 99% of the time during the boss fight.
It takes a long time, but it does result in wins if built right
Barbarian Notes:

Reach 0.25 ASPD with Fury: Orange/Purple ASPD + 5% rune

Build a PVE Arch Tank as as suggested above with a few changes
Where you would add 3 lines of ASPD, add 2 CH, 1 Lifesteal
Use runes to beef up the damage a bit
Sacrifice some damage reduction to fit Boss / Crit Damage line
With Primal build: Add 1 Boss, 1 Crit Damage line. With OG: 2 Boss, 2 Crit Damage
Minstrel
Build: DPS Primate (PVP)

Characteristic:

Charismatic / Heroic / Swift

Weapon: PVP Bow

Recommended: PVP Single DPS team – Phoenix, PVP AOE team – Rainfall

Goal Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

Primate 7 lines 180 – 210%
Crit Damage 5 – 6 lines 140 – 160%
ASPD 3 – 4 lines 30 – 45%
Crit Hit 4 lines 40 – 50%
Evasion 3 lines 28 – 34%

Minstrel Notes:

Everybody should have one minstrel built for PVP

Healing is doubled in PVP and if built for heavy DPS they can be an amazing asset
to your DPS line up
Build the same way you’d build a PVP Scout

Inquisitor
Build: DPS Neutral (Crit Damage)

Characteristic: Heroic / Swift / Strong

Weapon: PVP Hammer or Primal Atk / CD / Cast Eva

Recommended: 4-5 Inquisitors (2-3 Dark Paladin, 2 Silver Hand)

Goal Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

Crit Damage 6 – 7 lines 180 – 210%
ASPD 3 – 4 lines 32 – 42%
Crit Hit 4 lines 40 – 50%
Evasion 3 lines 28 – 34%
Attack 4 – 5 lines 80 – 100%

Inquisitor Notes:

Inquisitors need to have higher Evasion along with one of three weapons:
PVP hammer for extra damage and healing from lightning procs
Eva Cast hammer to reduce getting hit altogether
Demonlord hammer for extra spicy damage

Sword Saints
Build: DPS Racial (Boss / Demon / Primate (for PVP))

Characteristic: Strong / Heroic / Sharp

Weapon: Racial Damage / Crit Damage / Cast Demonlord or Cast Stun

Recommended: 2-4 Sword Saints (1-2 Boss, 1-2 Demon)

Goal Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

Racial 8 lines 220 – 280%
Crit Damage 8 lines 220 – 280%
Attack 1 line 20%
Crit Hit 4 lines 40 – 50%
Evasion 2 lines 20 – 24%

Sword Saint Notes:

Efficient boss killers. If you find yourself not being able to kill Uriel, build a
couple of these
You do not need ASPD stat lines for Sword Saints. Only purple ASPD, and an ASPD
rune (5%+).

Conjurors
Build: PVE Ranged DPS

Characteristic:

Best: Heroic / Swift

Alternative: Strong / Sharp
Weapon: Primal – Demon Racial / Crit Damage / Attack, Cast Demonlord or Cast Stun

Recommended: 3 – 4 Blizzard / Meteor Conjurors (Meteor recommended, but Blizzard is

nice for damage reducing debuffs)

Goal Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

Demon 8 lines 210 – 230%
Crit Damage 5 – 6 lines 150 – 180%
ASPD 3 -4 lines 0.25 ASPD
Crit Hit 4 lines 40 – 50%
Evasion 2 lines 20 – 24%

Conjuror Notes:

ASPD stat lines requirements are based on characteristics / stat color

Conjurors have Lighting skill with a quick cooldown, big meteor hits and a double
cast to handle crowd control
Scout
Characteristic:

Best: Heroic / Swift

Alternative: Strong / Sharp
Weapon: PVP Bow

Recommended: 2 – 3 Scouts

Neutral Build Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

ASPD 3 – 4 lines 30 – 45%
Crit Damage 6 – 7 lines 160 – 200%
Attack 3 – 4 lines 30 – 45%
Crit Hit 4 lines 40 – 50%
Evasion 3 lines 28 – 34%

Demon Build Stats:

Stat Stat Lines Percentages

ASPD 3 – 4 lines 30 – 45%
Demon Racial 7 – 8 lines 180 – 210%
Crit Damage 5 – 6 lines 140 – 160%
Crit Hit 4 lines 40 – 50%
Evasion 3 lines 28 – 34%

Scout Notes:

ASPD stat line requirements are based on characteristic / stat color

Works well with the PVP x4 damage bow for big Rainfalls and Poison Cloud hits
Take advantage of ranger dodge skill
For a front yard build cap stats are the same: Demon / Undead are split to roughly
100% each while keeping 160 – 200% Crit Damage (recommend no more than 1 of these
builds if you want one)

Traits
Tanks for PVE:

5 Stone Skin
Tanks for / during PVP:

5 Sense
4 Sense, 2 Stone Skin, 1 Vitality, 1 Curse
PVE Sword Saints:

4 Multi, 2 Penetration, 1 Stone Skin, 1 Curse

PVE DPS (Inquis / Conjurors / Scouts):

Quicken as needed for ASPD to be between 0.25 – 0.28 (0.25 with purple ASPD. If
orange ASPD and built to 0.35 you will get under 0.28 with a rune and Quicken.)
As a reminder this is for hunters you plan on keeping and will cap ASPD once
upgraded to purple stat).
Other Traits:

If Quicken is not needed:

4 Penetration, 2 Stone Skin, 1 Vitality, 1 Curse
3 Penetration, 3 Stone Skin, 2 Curse – Multi can be used if you have a PVP staff
on Conjuror. Multi only affects auto-attack, so it’s only good for classes with
Fury
