Theme: Relational Awareness Duration: 50 mins
Sub-theme: Public Order and Safety Time: 1:10 – 2:00 PM
Integration: Organizes dance event for a target health issue or concern.
Topic: “Dancing for Peace: Promoting Peace through Creative Interpretation”
Session a.) interpret a song that promotes peace through a group dance
Objectives: presentation; and
b.) manage a dance event by practicing public order and safety.
Components Duration Activities
• Begin with a brief discussion about creative dance,
Preparation and its elements, and its importance
5 mins
Settling In • Introduce the learning objective: organizing dance
event for a target health issue or concern.
Song Selection (5 minutes)
• Group the class with 5 to 10 members and ask
them to choose a song that promotes peace
• Within the group, share how they think the song
appeals to them and promotes peace

Song Interpretation (10 minutes)


• Using the selected song, ask the students to
interpret the chorus part of the song through
creative dance.
Peace • Ask them to apply the different elements of dance
Education
30 mins
Learning Dance Presentation (10 minutes)
Session • As a class, organize the flow of presentation and
how the performance should be shown to the class
• Ask each group to present their dance
interpretation of the chorus of the song the group
had selected

Peace Integration (5 minutes)


• After each group has presented, ask how dance
promotes the integration of peace
• Ask them to identify which part of the song and
what dance steps they have used to integrate peace
Progress • Ask the class to reflect how dance help in
Monitoring mitigating issues and concerns regarding health
through 5 mins. • Facilitate a brief discussion within each group,
Reflection and encouraging students to explore commonalities
Sharing and differences in their interpretations.
