This social deprevation is included in a broad network of correlated factors that contribute to social exclusion; these factors include mental illness; poverty;poor education and low economic status. Denied of human rights .
Considered as untouchable . Culturally isolated . Literacy rate is low. Physically segregated. Economically poor. Health issues. In Indian society Brahmins are considered to be the upper caste people and Shudras are treated as lower caste . Even among the lower class people Parayar and Pallar also considered as lower caste.They are treted as untochable and marginalised in the society. They are denied of human rights and remain socially and culturally isolated. Lower caste is also known as Scheduled caste. Scheduled Caste
DALITS TRIBALS DALITS
Dalits does not refer to a caste but suggests a
group who are in a state of oppression social disability and who are helpless and poor.They are now called as Scheduled castes. Physical segregation of their settlements is common in villages . They were forced to live in the most unhygienic and inhabitable conditions. Dalit Girls and Their Problems
Dalit girls state of affairs is worse than dalit
boys. They are considered as burden for their families. Married at young age due to poverty(13 or 14) Take care of young siblings. Work in field and farms of upper class people. As they were uneducated they don’t know merits and demerits. Frequent deliveries leads to poor health. They become anemic due to malnutrition. Two square meals a day is denied in their life. They get porridge in the morning and solid food in the noon. Often get sick due to unhygienic lifestyle. Generally not sent to schools as a result of which they remain illiterates. A tribe is a group of people who live and work
together in a shared geographical area. A tribe has a common culture; dialect and religion. They also have a strong sense of unity. The tribe is usually headed by a chief. A tribe can be a collection of families or of families and individual people living together. TRIBAL GILRS
Face structural discrimination and social
exclusion within the Indian society. Live in isolated hilly regions and remote forest areas. In India the scheduled tribes population is around 84.3millions and is considered to be socially and economically disadvantaged. Thodas; Irulas; Kurumbars are some tribal group in tamil nadu. PROBLEMS OF TRIBAL GIRLS Tribal girls are unable to acquire reading skills because they do not speak nor understand the language used in schools. Implementation of forest right act deprives tribal girls from minor forest produce hence jeoparadizes their livelihood. They suffer from double diseases that is suffering from communicable and non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes. Malnutrition for lactating and pregnant women. Literacy rate is low among them. Lack of proper livelihood and employment. They are mainly landless with little control and rights over resources such as land; forest and water . They were agricultural labourers ; casual labourers; plantation labourers; industrial labourers; etc. Also engage in collecting herbs; perfume materials ;fruits and honey. Save Deprived Girls
